5th Capuchin Composers Cycle: Rediscovering a unique musical legacy
20 march 2025
The Capuchin Composers Cycle is an initiative of OE Oficina, in collaboration with the Province of Friars Minor Capuchins of Spain, to highlight the musical heritage of Capuchin composers such as Aita Donostia, Lorenzo Ondarra or Hilario Olazarán de Estella.
The works of these musicians, initially offered to the public through the publication of their often unreleased scores, are presented in this cycle of concerts alongside those of musicians from the great international repertoire. This offers the public the opportunity to appreciate the quality of the Capuchins' artistic output and to grasp the interrelationships with the most renowned musical works.
In its fifth edition, the cycle will offer concerts in the churches of the Capuchins in Cordoba, Granada, Pamplona, Salamanca, Seville and Madrid
