Information
In the glossary of Basque mythology, Sugaar means flame, which is why the members chose this word to represent the group, as they feel identified with it, since if it is not preserved, the flame ends up being extinguished. The idea is to reflect the work involved in the study of music and the difficulty of making five sounds into a single sound. Sugaar Ensemble arises from the friendship between musicians of the area, having in common the love for music, especially chamber music. In spite of their different dedications in the musical field, they dedicate part of their time to work as a group. The enthusiasm for making music together makes Sugaar Ensemble a group with a great desire to make the repertoire known (both quintet repertoire and compositions of various kinds) in a way that is both enjoyable and playful. Moreover, the driving factor of the group is to be able to perform in different environments, thus showing its versatility, always after having done a good job full of dedication and energy.
