Information
The Aita Donostia Festival Christmas Concert in Donostia is an annual tradition that culminates, as always, with Aita Donostia’s moving choral work, Le Noël de Greccio. This year, the concert solidifies the collaboration of NEWCO - The New Chamber Orchestra, the EASO Choir (mixed voices and EASO Txiki), and a cast of top-tier soloists—Tatiana Samouil, Natalia Tchitch, Pavel Gomziakov, and Josu Okiñena—in their third consecutive participation. Additionally, the evening features the special participation of the Ballet Iker Murillo Studio 24 student dance company. The program weaves a unique musical tapestry intertwining the Baroque (Vivaldi and Bach), the profound spirituality of Messiaen (Louange à l’Éternité de Jésus), and the Trío poema by G. Tchitch, setting the stage for the crown jewel of the Basque Christmas repertoire. A musical and staged celebration of Christmas.

On Foot or by Bike (Our Favorite Option!)
The Basilica is in the heart of the Old Town (Parte Vieja), a pedestrian area. Moving around on foot or by bicycle is the best option to get directly to the entrance and reduce our impact.
Bike (DBizi): The closest public DBizi bike station is number 6, on Arrasate Street, about 500 meters away, or the Dbizi-2 station on the Boulevard, about 950 meters away.
By Bus (DBus and Lurraldebus)
Buses do not enter the Old Town, but the closest stops leave you a short walk away:
- Nearby Stop (DBus): The stop at San Bartolomé Kalea (DBus lines 23 and 32) is about 260 meters away.
- Main Stop (Boulevard): The Boulevard stop is the main connection node for DBus and Lurraldebus, about a 10-minute walk away.
- By Train or Intercity Bus
The main stations are at a convenient walking distance:
- North Station (Renfe / Bus Station): The Train Station and the Central Bus Station are about a 10-15 minute walk from the Basilica.
If You Come by Car
Because the Basilica is in a pedestrian area with restricted access, we recommend parking in a nearby underground car park (e.g., Boulevard or Kursaal) and accessing on foot. If you have no alternative, please come with a full car to reduce the impact of your trip.
